Barnardos in partnership with Sláintecare Healthy Communities are currently taking registration for our next Triple P Group Program in Athlone.
This program is suitable for the parents and caregivers of children aged 0-12years and details are as follows:

Why Triple P?
Triple P is designed to be with parents on every step of their journey, providing help and guidance to families when they need it. By delivering Triple P in our community, we are providing a valuable opportunity for parents to connect with others and to develop and share their skills and experience of parenting in a supportive environment.
Triple P gives parents simple and practical strategies to help them build strong, healthy relationships, confidently manage their children’s behaviour and prevent problems developing.
What is Group Triple P?
Group Triple P is an evidence based parenting group programme that has been helping parents and children create calmer and happier households. It adopts a positive parenting approach of creating a strong relationship with your child, encouraging positive behaviour, and managing stressful situations. The programme offers parents and caregiver’s choices, strategies, tips, information and skills to support them to manage stressful situations. Parents are provided with a toolkit of proven strategies to support them in a supportive and non-judgmental environment.
How long is the programme?
Group Triple P is an 8-week programme. This comprises of weekly 2 hour sessions every Thursday from 10 am -12 pm:
-Week 1-4: Group sessions
-Week 5-7: Supportive individual phone calls to participants
-Week 8 : Final group session and certification
