Train the Trainer programme for your staff and leaders (45 mins – 1hr) so you can freely deliver the stories and activities at your leisure.
As part of the Road Safety Education Service, we have a free road safety programme specifically aimed for pre-school children and it’s called “Simon and Friends”. This programme includes a Teacher’s Guide, Storybooks and CD Rom are packaged in a colourful case. You will also gain access to the resources on our free Virtual Learning Environment.
The Simon & Friends pack and access to the Virtual Learning Environment will be given to you for taking part in the train the trainer programme.
The stories include the following messages:
Holding Hands ‘Simon’s Surprise’
Stopping ‘Josie’s Picnic’
Look and Listen ‘Sara and Sophia’s Trip to the Farm’
Setting a good example ‘Charlie goes to a Party’
At the end of each story there are a number of activities which preschool providers can use to develop other learning experiences with the children.
This training is free of charge.
