Building Blocks Extension grant
Minister Roderic O’Gorman announced the launch of the €25m Building Blocks Extension Grant scheme for early learning and childcare providers. Please see the recent press release by the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth (DCEDIY).
Further details of the scheme along with application forms and applicant guidelines will be made available to the sector soon.

Quality & Inclusive Practice Plan (QIPP)
Guidance for completing the Core Funding Quality & Inclusive Practice Plan (previously referred to as the QAP) is available under the Quality and Inclusive Practice Plan (QIPP) heading on the Core Funding documents page of the Early Years Hive here.
Partner Services are to receive access to the Quality and Inclusive Practice Plan (QIPP) on the Core Funding Contractual Requirements Reporting System (CFCRRS). Emails will be circulated on a phased basis. The email will be sent to the Primary Authorised User (PAU).
The email will outline what you need to do to access the CFCRRS and will link to technical guidance videos (also below). Access to the CFCRRS will commence from 9:00am on Monday 18 November 2024.
Completed QIPPs much be submitted by the end of Monday 16 December 2024.
Once submitted, your QIPP will remain on the CFCRRS, you are not required to upload it to the Early Years Hive for validation.

Childminding Registration
Tusla have continued to expand the resources and support documentation available on their Childminding webpages //tusla.ie/early-years-inspectorate/childminding-services.

Hive Scheduled Maintenance
The Early Years Hive and the National Childcare Scheme website will be unavailable from 7am on Friday 22nd November until 5pm on Sunday 24th November due to essential maintenance. There will be no impact to your weekly payments on Friday 22nd November.
AIM Level 5: Application for a duplicate piece of equipment for use in AIM plus and AIM non-term
Due to the expansion of AIM Level 5, a duplicate piece of equipment can be requested via an AIM Level 5 equipment application on the Early Years Hive. A duplicate piece of equipment can be requested when a child is availing of AIM plus or AIM non-term and the equipment used during ECCE hours cannot be relocated to the AIM plus or AIM non-term room.
Where a duplicate piece of equipment is required, a prescribing professional must indicate this on the HSE report submitted.
