These are the deadlines, information, and announcements for the week 20th-24th June 2022.

DEADLINES / IMPORTANT DATES:

The ECCE Higher Capitation 2021/22 Programme Call for new applications will be closed for submission, from today 24/06/2022. No new applications submitted after this date will be processed.

Deadline Extension Programme 1st July 2022

Friday 1st July 2022 Deadline Extension   -The deadline for the Programme Support Deadline has been extended to Friday 1st July 2022. Please note late applications will not be accepted.

Friday 15th July  – The 2022 Childminder Development Grant is open for applications until of 15th July.

Transition Fund Update

Further information on the Transition Fund, compliance requirements, funding value and list of participants has been announced via Hive. All services in receipt of the Transition Fund are required to document evidence of compliance with the terms and conditions. The DCEDIY reserves the right to suspend or recoup funding in the event of non-compliance with the terms and conditions.

In instances of miscalculations of over or under payments rates to services the corrected figure will be effective of the entire period of the transition fund. The correction will be done automatically. No action is required of providers. Amended funding allocations can be viewed in the programme funding section on Hive, using the dropdown menu to view allocations. This will provide a weekly view of the allocations. If you have any queries on your application you may raise a request on hive by selecting the Programme: Transition Fund, Request Type: Funding, Request Type Details: Payment Query.

Compliance Visits June, July & August 2022

Pobal have announced that the Compliance team will continue to conduct unannounced visits to ELC/SAC services that are operational over the summer months as outlined on the service calendars uploaded to the HIVE for the 2021/2022 programmes cycle.  It is advised that services operating during the summer, have all records relating to other programmes which may have paused for the summer months (e.g., ECCE) available for review during such visits e.g., all ECCE Roll books /Attendance records, Fee records, Parent declarations etc. The individual NCS and ECCE Compliance Checklists 2021/2022 are available under the Resources /Compliance section of the Hive. The CCSP Compliance Checklist 2021/2022 is available on PIP. These Checklists will assist in collating the relevant information that form part of a programmes compliance checks.

Hive – How to change Bank Account details

There is guidance on Hive should you need to change, add a bank account details or deactivate the bank account registered for your service on the Early Years Hive in the Help & Support section here

PSP

The PSP application deadline has been extended until Friday 1st July 2022. The Early Years Provider Centre can be contacted by raising a request on Hive using the programme category PSP 2022 if there are specific queries. Applications after this date will not be accepted.

Childminder Development Grant

The Childminder Development Grant is open for applications until July 15th. The application form can be accessed   An online information session on completing the Childminding Development Grant 2022, is being held next Tuesday 28th June at 10am. Please share the information with any known Childminders.

Early Years e-Bulletin

The Early Years e-Bulletin for early learning and care (ELC) and school-age childcare (SAC) providers was published this week. The e-Bulletin includes updates from the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, the Department of Education, Pobal & Tusla.
