My name is Catherine Sheehan, I am a PhD Candidate under the supervision of Dr. Judith Butler and Dr. Cian O’Neill at Munster Technological University (Cork Campus), where I am also a part time postgraduate lecturer in the Dept. of Sport, Leisure and Childhood Studies.
I am currently undertaking PhD research investigating The Provision of Trauma Awareness Training in the Irish Early Childhood Education & Care (ECEC) Profession. This pioneering research aims to design and implement a new, customised trauma awareness training programme for ECEC practitioners nationwide.
It is important to the research team that the voice of the profession is heard in the developing of this programme. There is an open call for the expression of interest from service managers who would be interested in taking part in a focus group which will be conducted online (approx. 40 minutes).
Notably, the attached ‘Participant Information Sheet’ will provide further details of the research, which will help to inform their decision to participate or not.
All participants will be entered in a draw to win a €100 One4all voucher upon completion of the focus group.
