ECCE Higher Capitation Application Process 2015 /16

WCCC have been advised that the ECCE Higher Capitation application process for the 2015/16 Programme call is now open. Please be aware of the link between this process and the list of DCYA Early Years Recognised Qualifications as published at www.dcya.ie

Please also note that for Early Years Services who were in receipt of ECCE Higher Capitaiton in 2014/15 based on a qualification that is not publised on the list:

Where a service was approved for the ECCE Higher Capitation Rate in 2014/15 based on a specific qualification that is not on the publised list of DCYA Early Years Recognised Qualifications and after assessment through the DCYA Qualifications Recognition Application Process is not approved, that service will be provided with a grace period of two years to continue to receive the Higher Capitation Rate while making arrangements to up-skill to the required qualification level.  This applies to the Room Leader Qualification for Higher Capitation only and all staff must meet the minimum Regulation requirements.

Also, in relation to the list of recognised qualifications, DCYA will shortly be publishing an appeals process to be followed for anyone who wants to appeal a decision made following an application for recognition being declined.  This process will also allow for appeals in relation to qualifications on the published list that are listed as not meeting the criteria for the purposes of either ECCE Room Leader and/or ECCE Higher Capitation.
