Covid Operating Supports funding agreement

We would like to remind you that ALL services including ECCE only services must complete the funding agreement to continue to receive programme funding.

It is a two-step process activated through the Hive.

  1. Go to My account > COSP emergency measures. Here you will complete the calendar

  2. Programmes > Covid Operating supports, complete each page and accept the contract activation.

Failure to complete the funding application by the closing date of Friday 26 February, will affect your funding payments.

Compliance Checks

Compliance checking of the TWSCS programme 2020 will be commencing on 22 February. These will be remote checks and will be announced in advance. Those services that have already undergone a TWSCS check will not be rechecked.

Registering School-Age Childcare services with Tusla.

The deadline for registering any school-age childcare provision with Tusla is 15 April. Registration must be completed by any service offering school age care, even as part of another service such as full day care or ECCE. There are a large number of incomplete registrations on the Tusla portal at the moment and the majority of those are from combined services, i.e. services who also offer ECCE, part time or full day care.

Please ensure that you have submitted your registration. If you require any support with this process, please contact us.

Covid Case Support Helpline

For those services who need support on engaging with the relevant authorities due to a suspected or confirmed case of Covid-19, there is a new out of hours helpline. The number is 1800 940 341. The service will be available Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays from 10.00 – 13.00 and 13.30 – 16.00. The helpline is not for general Covid-19 queries or other childcare issues. The line is intended for owners/managers and you are asked not to share the number with other staff or parents. This service launches this Saturday, 20 February.

“The ‘Keep Well campaign’ reminds us all how we can protect and promote our own physical and mental health. Anthony O’Prey, Health Promotion Officer for Mental Health, will facilitate a short 1½hr online workshop (Zoom) on one of the campaign’s key messages, “Mind your Mood”. Anthony will reflect on the small things we can do each day to help lift our spirits and stay optimistic during this time”.

Westmeath CCC invite interested participants to book through Eventbrite . Please submit your email address as the first 15 bookings will receive an invitation by email to participate on a Zoom call a day or two before the event. One participant per childcare service.
