Childcare services which were previously notified to Tusla under the provisions for notification as prescribed by the Pre School Child Care Regulations 2006 are now required to be re-registered under Article 58 E of the Child & Family Agency Act 2013.
Tusla have commenced the registration of currently notified services. Registration on this occasion is on an administrative basis by way of statutory declaration.
Please note this process only applies to providers who are currently notified and operational and is only available until June 15th next. If you delay your registration until after this date or if you intend on opening a new service after this date you will be required to apply under the stipulations of the 2016 Early Years Services Regulations which were published 5 May 2016. The processes for such applications will be made available in due course.
Existing providers should have received a copy of the Statutory Declaration Form (SDF) from TUSLA. This form contains your service details and makes a statement of intent confirming your intention to be placed on the National Register of Early Years Services.
The new legislation prohibits the operation of any Early Years’ service that is not registered so it is crucial that you complete the form.
Once you receive your form please check the details listed carefully, and commence to complete all fields.
Completed declarations must be received back to the Registration Team by 5pm June 15th next.
