The Early Years Child Protection Programme is Recruiting a National Coordinator
Dublin City Childcare Committee Ltd., on behalf of the National Early Years Children First Committee, is inviting applications for the post of National Coordinator with the Early Years Child Protection Programme.
The Early Years Child Protection Programme:
The Early Years Child Protection Programme is an interagency initiative which works to implement Children First in the early years sector. The programme consists of a national training programme for early years services and safeguarding policy development and implementation supports.
The Programme was established in 2014 and is managed by a national collaborative committee with representatives from Tusla, the Childcare Committees and the National Voluntary Childcare Organisations. Since then, in conjunction with our partners, we have delivered over 15,000 child protection training places to the sector and developed resources to support for early years services to meet the requirements of the Children First Act 2015.
About the Role:
The National Coordinator will coordinate the development and delivery of the Children First implementation plan for the early years sector. The Coordinator will also manage the day-to-day running of the Early Years Child Protection Programme.
To coordinate delivery of the early years Children First sectoral implementation plan
To oversee the day to day management of the Early Years Child Protection Programme
To manage the annual programme budget
To work with the Childcare Committees and other partner agencies to deliver the early years child protection training programme
To work with the National Committee and other partner agencies to implement the recommendations of the evaluation of the early years child protection programme
To implement the quality assurance measures in the training programme including monitoring of trainers
To ensure effective communication with all stakeholders including, trainers, delivery partners and early years services
To oversee programme records and information management, e.g., annual action files
To work with Tusla to develop materials to meet sector training needs
To coordinate the Training for Trainers Programme as required
To compile/develop resource documents, such as templates, briefing documents and sector guides in conjunction with the National Committee
To manage a reporting system and data collection from partner agencies
To coordinate and facilitate support events for trainers
To coordinate update sessions for trainers
Contract and Hours:
Fulltime (35 hours per week), fixed term contract until Dec 31st, 2019. 26 Days’ annual leave.
